Early Updates of Good Asteroidal Occultations for rest of 2005

Updates by Steve Preston & one by Dave Herald

The best events (brighter stars, large asteroids) around the world are now included, as well as the better North American events

Updated: 2005 Aug. 3

Updates in Steve Preston's usual format, as given on
his Web site, are given below. The links work just as
on his Web site except that the "back to" his Web page link at
the bottom fails, but you can get to that by clicking on the
link to his page above. His page is now comprehensive to Sept. 5,
so events before then have been removed here; you should instead
get the more up-to-date information, including some with detailed
finder charts, from his Web site (link above) for this month's
events. I have added a prediction of an occultation by Saturn's
rather large satellite (larger than any main-belt asteroid) Dione
that will occur on October 21. After the date and asteroid, I give
the star's V magnitude and region crossed by the updated path.
