Spectacular March 14th graze of tau Ari observed by four small expeditions across Pennsylvania

The March 14th graze of tau Arietis was spectacular. It was video
recorded from at least one station south of Erie, PA and from three
sites around Shreiners in central PA. Observers in two locations in
s.e. PA, n. of Philadelphia, were in the path and had a good view of
the graze, but were unable to time it. Orbital motion may have
carried the secondary star south of the primary star since there was
no evidence of a secondary star north of the primary star. I will
write more about this very good event later. Prediction information
and expedition plans for the graze, including detailed map files for
the path in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, is here.
